Calibration files for RPC-ICA data

The level 3 data is identical to the level 2 edited raw data
except that calibration constants have been used to turn the
data into physics units, that of differential
flux [particles / cm^2 / s / sr / eV].

The procedure to turn level 2 data into level 3 data is described
in general terms in the EAICD, section 2.4.1.

In short, data is divided into light or heavy ions using the mass
masks provided in the directory CALIB/MASS_MASK. Then the geometric
factor found in CALIB/GFACTOR is applied according to the formula
given in the EAICD. Physical elevation angles corresponding to
different elevation index levels are found in the tables in
CALIB/ELEVATION and the energy tables providing energy for each
energy index level are found in CALIB/ENERGY.

Different tables for MASS_MASK and GFACTOR exist for different
post-acceleration settings and different software versions and
for two ion mass ranges, light (approximately 1 to 4 amu) and
heavier ions. For elevation and energy there is one table for
each software version.
